Multi-stage compression means that the gas is pressurized several times from suction to reach the required working pressure. 1. Save power consumption By adopting multi-stage compression, the compressed gas can be cooled at equal pressure after being subjected to first-stage compression by setting an intercooler between stages to reduce the temperature and then enter the next-stage cylinder. As the temperature decreases and the density increases, it is easy to further compress. Compared with one compression, it can greatly save energy consumption. Therefore, under the same pressure, the area of multi-stage compression is smaller than that of single-stage compression. This is because in an oil-lubricated compressor, the temperature of the lubricating oil will reduce the viscosity and aggravate the wear. When the temperature rises too high, carbon deposition will easily form in the cylinder and on the valve, which will aggravate the wear and even cause accidents and even explosions. For various reasons, the exhaust temperature is greatly limited, so multi-stage compression must be adopted to reduce the exhaust temperature. 4. Reduce the gas force acting on the piston rod In the piston compressor, when the compression is relatively high and single-stage compression is adopted, if the cylinder diameter is relatively large, the higher gas final pressure will act on the larger piston area, and the gas in the piston will be relatively large. If multi-stage compression is adopted, the gas force acting on the piston can be greatly reduced, thus making the mechanism lighter and the mechanical efficiency improved.
