Although the link between increased water intake and dieting is still under research, the findings there is evidence that taking adequate amount of the drink leads to reduced food appetite, desire for vegetables and fruits, and increased burning of calories in the body. As much as drinking water is seen to be effective in weight management, dietitians constantly advice patients not to substitute their diet with water as this might lead to far reaching health consequences.
